Cuisinart 14 Cup Food Processor
About Cusiniart
Before talking about the Cuisinart 14 Cup Food Processor, let’s have a look at the company that made it all possible. Many do not know that Cuisinart was the first to create a food processor fit for use in a household, as they were only available to professional chefs and large kitchens. Cusinart’s pride is in its food processors, that’s what made them famous. Even though they specialize in small kitchen appliances, and have expanded their product line to other housewares, such as coffee makers, blenders, mixers and toasters, they tend to excel most in the area of food processors.
The company was founded by the couple Carl and Shirley Sontheimer. Carl, being an engineer and physicist, was inspired to redesign industrial kitchen food processors for home use. This was in 1972. He made several design enhancements and had the first household food processor manufactured within a year. This was the beginning of the household food processor (which was never used in household prior to this), and even though it didn’t gain acceptance immediately, it later became one of the most respected brands in home appliances.
